The Smurfs Movie

Well anyone that grew up watching the animated series on TV will really enjoy this movies. I couldn't wait to see this and waited months after seeing the trailer. My kids loved it and I still recalled all the characters names.

Genre: Family and Comedy

Best character: Clumsy smurf

The plot:

With the festival of the Blue Moon about to start, things are going smoothly for the smurfs, but Papa Smurf sees a vision of the future that is quite disturbing. The vision begins to play out in real life, as Clumsy Smurf leads the evil wizard Gargamel to the smurfs' secret village. They scramble to get away from Gargamel, but Clumsy goes the wrong way. Papa, Smurfette, Brainy, Gutsy, and Grouchy follow after him, and they all stumble upon a mysterious portal that sucks them away to a different realm -- Central Park, New York City.

My View:

Now again I've only told you a little about the film but again i don't want to ruin it for you all, this is the start of the movie. This is a great family film your kids will love it and you will secretly love it if you have been a smurfs fan when you where a child and there is some mild rude humour. Gargamel looks like the animated character and his cat Azrael is just as menacing.

I loved the little blue people. And again this is all my opinion.

Rise of the planet of the apes...

Well I'm going to start with the best film I've seen this year, (so far). Rise of the planet of the apes,

Its my opinion that this is a must see.

Genre: Science fiction

Best Character: Caesar

Best actor: James Franco plays Will Rodman

The plot:

Will Rodman is trying to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease by testing a genetically engineered retrovirus on chimpanzees. The virus gives the chimpanzees a human level of intelligence.

My view:

Now i know i didn't give to much away in my plot but i don't want to ruin the film by telling you all the whole story, you do end up feeling sorry for the chimpanzee's epically Caesar, its my view that this film is defiantly worth watching. My three children (aged 12,12, and 9) loved this film and want to go and see it again its defiantly one to buy when it comes out on DVD.

And a little added extra I never really liked any off the other planet of the apes films so if your like myself this film will pleasantly surprise you. I'm going to give this film a thumbs up.
